Ok, I need some help here.... I am in a house-themed ATC swap on the Christian Paper Artists list. This photo is of my project at the moment -- but it still needs something. Keep in mind, these did not scan very well. The background is stamped in gold with antique gold pearl-ex dusted over it. The couple inside is not as pale looking as in the scan, but I think I am going to add some color to them-- lipstick maybe? I'm just not happy with them yet... please post any ideas you may have!!! thanks :)

well...I would add some glitter to the rooftop, maybe use a background stamp to stamp on the house itself or cut out some windows and glue them on...maybe put a wreath on the front door, or put a house number up somewhere. And add some words for what he is whispering to her or what she is thinking. Cool house!!!
Great house Chris! I think that maybe the house needs a little depth, especially around the edges. Maybe a darker brown ink or a little glaze. Love the doors. Try a colored pencil and give that girl some lipstick and maybe a tiny, tiny bit of blush! ;)
Hi Chris: I would add a word or phrase inside (bottom of couple picture)and if you feel comfortable, I would stamp something on the door/above it. Think of more like a design element than a realistic image. Swirls, dots, curlee cues...You can mask areas which you don't want to be stamped on since you have them so far done now. Just my two cents - but I think it will take them to another level.

you could also add strips of paper as siding on the outside. I definitely think they need some words or thoughts. Maybe add their name above the door or a thought, like love or adoration. Or hearts on the doors cut from paper and glued on, or cut out of the doors so you can peek through to the picture.
Your roof reminds me of a gazebo, then from there I think of vines/ivy, small roses....I agree with the adding of depth with some shading. I think it's a pretty darn cute idea.

Chris, you have a great START(bottom layer). I agree with the comments already left- the designs just need MORE stuff, whether words, rubber stamped pattern (to break up the flatness of the house), antiquing on the edges, etc. Add a button to the roof to enhance the lacy pattern you have already, etc. Definitely add words, "cherish", "devotion", or find words flipping through an old book (I love "found" poetry or phrases). Can't wait to see what you do!
